I have a jar filled with what animals I was able to remove from the aquarium plants that I bought. There's a snail (there was two, but one died), many isopods, a few flatworms, there might still be something that looks like a needle from the plants but can swim on its own (haven't seen it in a week so IDK) and, as I discovered today, apparently some smaller things I didn't even see before.

It occurred to me that I have a somewhat nice camera I bought for streaming that can manual focus and record in YUYV (a.k.a. no compression losses) and so I decided to try recording the jar with it.

Here's a clip of the snail which, for scale, looks to have a shell that's about 6 mm across.

Here's a clip of the isopods, doing ... IDK what. When I got them seemingly half of them were stuck together like this, but now that they're in the jar it seems to occur less often. IDK if one is trying to eat the other or they're trying to reproduce or what. When this happens it's always a slightly smaller one on the bottom, and the one on the bottom often seems to be a little darker in color as well.

Here's an unfortunately shaky clip of a flatworm. There's at least 3 in there as I saw two at once as well as another which is much smaller. I've also seen some very small completely transparent things on the glass which seem like they might be baby flatworms.

Here is something I'd never seen before. The dirt was moving so I watched it for about five minutes before this very thin worm with little legs or hairs on it came out and crawled around on the glass for a while.

Finally, here's some bubbles being emitted from a particular needle of the plant, as well as what I assume are some egg sacs stuck to a few other needles of the plant. It's an hour later now and that needle is still bubbling like that.

I spotted the thing that looks like a plant needle. It's a strange-looking thing. AFAIK I only have one.
