The last two white ghost shrimp died, leaving only the last remaining transparent one. However, he and the guppy and the snail seem to be doing fine, so I decided it was time to get some Neon Tetras.
I was hoping the guppy would want to school with them, since they're all schooling fish and the guppy has been alone, and the degree to which it hung around the bag while I was allowing the water temperature to adjust gave me some hope that it would. However, it seems it was actually just wanting to attack them, despite being outnumbered and smaller than any of them. So I ended up moving the guppy to my 5 gallon tank.
I kind of regret buying them already. I thought the guppy was a bit boring, but at least it looks for food sometimes. These things seem to be stuck in perpetual groupthink, slowly moving around the tank but for the most part not really doing anything besides trying to be where the others are and occasionally acting slightly aggressive towards each other.
I also got 9 more ghost shrimp so I'm back up to 10. Sadly, that means I've kind of lost the last ghost shrimp in the sense that I'll never know which one he is.
